Entertainment Law Firm - 50 Employees
Testimonial:
They..listened to our needs, problems and hopes and
then recommended technological solutions based on where
WE want to go. Actions backed up words and this provided
a level of comfort and security we trusted and continue
to trust.

Before:
CCGG had about 50 standalone workstations split between
New York and Los Angeles. The proliferation of Email
for communication in the legal industry and the need to
share vital documents between bi-coastal offices made the
need for a wide area network compelling.
Challenges:
• Share a 12,000 record contact database dynamically
across the network.
• Automatically paste contacts into documents and
emails.
The
Strategy:
We decided to implement the wide area network installation
in multiple phases to to mitigate any disruption in the
day today operations of the firm and to allow the users
time to adjust to new features and applications.
The
Implementation:
• In the first phase we wired both the offices and
connected them to the Internet using SDSL at T1 speed.
This enabled every user in the firm to use the Internet
and have a unique Email address.
• In the second phase we installed a Microsoft Small
Business Server in the New York Office. This acts as the
Primary Domain Controller and Exchange server. A second
server was installed in Los Angeles, with Exchange. Both
servers replicate the Active Directory and Global catalogue
for the domain.
•Finally a Public contact folder was created and set
to replicate between the two servers.
Changes
to the contacts in this folder made in NY show up in Los
Angeles within 2 minutes and vice versa
